I have been positioning the last layer of decoupage on my new painting. I hope there isn’t a breeze in the studio tonight as they aren’t glued down.
Work in progress. I am using the method of fat over lean for my new oil painting. I want the decoupaged motifs to blend into the oil paint with thin layers of glazes. Building up the amount of linseed oil used on each layer so the colour underneath is still visible.
I am part of the MD gallery and studios. Our studios will be able to be viewed on the 5th July. We are celebrating our one year anniversary.
I am experimenting with layers of thin oil paint to build up a density of colour. It is a bit hit and miss at the moment. I will be glazing over the collage to embed it into the canvas, which will give it an aged look……hopefully.
Quick idea for a new painting. Who’s that girl?
Have been putting the finishing touches to my new painting today. Just have to wait for the oil paint to dry so I can varnish it.
