I’ve been working on two new artworks this weekend. Starburst (sanctuary) and Sanctuary. Both acrylic on canvas. Having see an aboriginie painting at Uluru, Australia I was inspired to make a painting purely using dots. I hope to get some more done this week. Have got so many ideas.
I have been working on logs today. Makes a change from canvas. I want to build up a catalogue of ideas so I can produce the more successful one larger. Here are a few which are still a work in progress. Hope you like them. These are based on stats and nebulas and I want to explore the colours too.
I recently exhibited my artwork True Colours (Always there) at The Lighthouse Wolverhampton as part of an exhibition curated by Jayesh Patel. These are found objects with spray paint. By changing the objects we are more inclined to look at them. In their original state we can easily overlook them.
I’ve been painting directly onto the wall of The Asylum Gallery this week. Don’t you think its a brilliant name for a gallery? I’ve been to The Asylum, brilliant. Here’s my temporary painting Halo and me with my adorable Dachshund Henry Snickers
This week I’ve been painting directly onto the wall of The Asylum Gallery. It took about six hours altogether. This is part of a series I have been working on. Halo (2) acrylic on gallery wall.
Our pop up shop has been open for about four weeks. Its hard to coax people into the shop but its been great fun working with the artists there. We had a great open evening last night and I sold these two paintings. Halo and Trinity. Acrylic on canvas.
