I’ve been working on this new painting, which will be a triptych incorporated into one canvas. I have used oil paints for the base, these need to be deepened by adding more glazes over the top.  I have used a layer of gold leaf, which again will have more added to give different texture. As you can see the peacock butterfly is a recurring motif in my artwork and I really enjoyed painting this one.
